Lionel Bringuier conducts world premiere of Rands concerto with Cleveland Orchestra

Following this week’s return to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Lionel Bringuier heads to Ohio for three performances November 27, 28, and 29, marking the conductor’s fifth engagement with the Cleveland Orchestra. At the center of the program is the world premiere of Bernhard Rands’s English Horn Concerto, featuring the Orchestra’s Samuel C. and Bernette K. Jaffe Endowed Chair Robert Walters as soloist.

The newly commissioned work is bookended by two classics of the French orchestral repertoire: Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.
