On September 16, Lionel Bringuier enters his second season as Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich with an opening night celebration that highlights the 2015-16 season focuses on Artist-in-Residence Lisa Batiashvili, Creative Chair Jörg Widmann, and core classics of the 19th Century. 

The program begins with Widmann’s Con brio, and also includes his work Elegie featuring the composer on clarinet. Lisa Batiashvili joins cellist Gautier Capuçon for Brahms’s Double Concerto, and the program concludes with Scriabin’s Le Poème de l’extase. Lionel and the TOZ encore the program on September 17.
