Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich continues international concert appearances under Chief Conductor and Music Director Lionel Bringuier

On September 19, three days following the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich’s opening night celebration, Chief Conductor and Music Director Lionel Bringuier brings his orchestra to Prague’s Rudolfinum as part of the Prague Festival. The program encores two of the opening night works, the 2015-16 season Creative Chair Jörg Widmann’s Con brio and Brahms’s Double Concerto with this season’s Artist-in-Residence Lisa Batiashvili and cellist Gautier Capuçon. Lionel closes the program with Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8.

Following concerts in Locarno, Switzerland and Meran, Italy earlier this month, the TOZ’s Prague concert is part of a number of guest appearances this season. Lionel also brings the Orchestra to Poland for Warsaw’s Beethovenfest, and on a 2016 European tour with stops in Vienna, Rosenheim, Cologne, Paris, Heidelberg, Dortmund, Munich, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt.
