On May 28, Chief Conductor and Music Director Lionel Bringuier joins the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich for a special benefit concert, the proceeds of which go to benefit the charity Kispex, an organization celebrating 20 years of specializing in providing care to seriously ill children.
Lionel leads the orchestra in a set of works that include percussionist Martin Grübinger who joins for Keiko Abe’s Prism for marimba and orchestra and also participates in the accompanying pieces including Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, Matthias Schmitt’s Ghanaia, Dukas’s L’apprenti sorcier, and Bernstein’s “Mambo” from Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.
