Chief Conductor and Music Director Lionel Bringuier brings Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich’s Ravel Cycle to Deutsche Grammophon

As part of his artistic initiatives as the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich’s new Chief Conductor and Music Director, Lionel Bringuier will bring his cycle of Ravel’s orchestral works, performed and recorded with the Tonhalle, to recording. Set for a tentative release in early 2016, the box set will be released by Deutsche Grammophon and will showcase Ravel’s complete works for orchestra.

A noted interpreter of Ravel, Lionel has earned acclaim for his ability to convey “the spirit as well as the letter of the music with easy assurance…shaped with a certainty of direction that never compromised the music’s inherent sensuousness.” (The Guardian)
