This week will mark Lionel’s debut appearance with the Tonhalle Orchester in Zürich, often considered by audiences and acoustic specialists alike to be one of the best concert halls in the world. Lionel will be performing Dukas’ L’apprenti sorcier, Dutilleux’s Métaboles, Stravinsky’s Firebird 1919 and Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No 1 played by French cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras.
Next week will see Lionel return to conduct Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León with a French-themed concert of Bizet, Dukas, Dalbavie and Debussy.
