On March 1, Lionel Bringuier received his designation as a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the Legion of Honor) in Nice, at a special event hosted by the Mayor of Nice. The award was conferred by a decree from François Hollande, France’s Président de la République. The award, considered the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the French government, recognizes Mr. Bringuier’s continued achievements as a conductor, pianist, and cellist, with more than twelve years of artistic contributions to his home country.
