Lionel Bringuier returns to lead the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich on September 27, 28 & 29 in a spectacular programme highlighting two contrasting works. The concerts begin with a Viola Concerto by the TOZ’s 2017/18 Creative Chair Brett Dean, who performs the work. Dean has presented the piece with venerated orchestras across the globe, and this concert series serves as a tremendous launch for his season with the TOZ. Following the concerto, Mr. Bringuier conducts Beethoven’s masterful Ninth Symphony, combining the forces of the orchestra with chorus and soloists Christiane Karg (soprano), Wiebke Lehmkuhl (alto), Maximilian Schmitt (tenor), and Tareq Nazmi (bass).

Bringuier and Dean collaborate again this season with concerts on November 10 and December 14,15, 16 & 17.
