On September 7, Lionel Bringuier leads the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra with guest soloist Hélène Grimaud in a richly-programmed season opening concert featuring Salonen’s Helix; Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G; and Berlioz’ Symphonie Fantastique. Mr. Bringuier and Ms. Grimaud have collaborated extensively in venues across the globe, including concerts with the San Francisco Symphony and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, and will also reunite on December 7 & 8 for an evening with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.
The performance in Gothenburg, hosted at the Göteborgs Konserthus, is featured as part of Grimaud’s full-season engagement as the Symphony’s Artist-in-Residence. Concert attendees may also enjoy the on-site concert installation titled “Durations,” available to experience in the concert hall lobby prior to the performance.
