By a decree from François Hollande, France’s Président de la République, Lionel Bringuier has been honored as a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the Legion of Honor) by the French government. The award, considered the highest honor in France, recognizes Mr. Bringuier’s prestigious achievements as a conductor, pianist, and cellist, giving more than twelve years of significant artistic service to his home country.
