Ravel, Poulenc & more this February in Zurich

From February 8-10, Lionel Bringuier leads the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich in a succession of concerts in collaboration with acclaimed pianists. The performance on February 8 sees Bringuier and the TOZ working with piano duo Katia und Marielle Labèque on Ravel’s Rapsodie Espagnole for Two Pianos, in addition to Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra. The evening also highlights de Falla’s “El sombrero de tres picos” with mezzo-soprano Clara Mouriz.

On February 9 there is a mid-day concert at 12:15pm, with Ms. Mouriz performing the de Falla. That evening, Mr. Bringuier and the TOZ reunite with the Labèques to present the Ravel and Poulenc pieces previously mentioned. The Poulenc and de Falla pieces are presented again on the night of February 10, in addition to Glass’ Four Movements for Two Pianos.
