Lionel Bringuier leads the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich in two concerts this month, highlighting works by Beethoven as well as ‘Audience Choice’ selections from the TOZ’s loyal fans. The first performance on May 3 features Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, Op. 56 with soloists Louis Schwizgebel (piano), Klaidi Sahatçi (violin) and Anita Leuzinger (cello). The programme also includes works voted on by the audience: Rossini’s Overture to L’Italiana in Algeri; Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op. 90; The Swan of Tuonela, Op. 22 by Sibelius; and Berlioz’ well-known Symphonie fantastique, Op. 14 / 2nd mvt. “Un bal.” The second concert on May 4 – a ‘Discover TOZ Concert’ – features the works from Beethoven, Berlioz, and Rossini, in addition to a spectacular afterparty event. Performers at the party include Tinush House, Philip Bader House, Charles Prince, and more, including specially designed audio and visuals to enhance the experience.
