Lionel Bringuier returns to Europe for a series of performances with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, highlighting works by Bartók, Beethoven, and Widmann. The March 16 concert features Widmann’s Armonica, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 with acclaimed pianist Ran Jia, and Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra. On March 17, Lionel and the Tonhalle Orchestra present a ‘Tozintermezzo’ concert, with a shortened program including the Beethoven and Widmann’s Con brio. They travel to Warsaw on March 19 for a Beethovenfest performance at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, again featuring Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 with Mr. Jia, Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra, and Widmann’s Con brio.
