Lionel Bringuier leads the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich in a series of performances February 10, 11 & 12, featuring acclaimed pianist Leif Ove Andsnes on Schumann’s spectacular Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54. The programme on 2/10 & 12 also highlights Honegger’s Symphony No. 2 and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 6, both written during the World War II era. Zürich native and award-winning poet Hazel Brugger performs before the shortened ‘Rush Hour’ concert on 2/11, to entertain the pre-concert crowd.
