Widmann, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Kodály with Orchestre de Paris

Following his Barcelona debut, Lionel Bringuier returns to France for a program with the Orchestre de Paris at the city’s Philharmonie October 14 and 15.

The program begins with Jörg Widmann’s Con brio, a piece with which Lionel opened the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich’s 2015-16 season (his second as Chief Conductor and Music Director). Martin Helmchen also joins in the first half of the concert for Schumann’s Piano Concerto. In the second half, Lionel turns to Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet Overture paired with Kodály’s Dances of Galánta.
