On May 14, Lionel Bringuier makes his Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra debut at the ensemble’s home in Munich’s Gasteig, a hall he recently visited as part of his first tour with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich the orchestra’s Chief Conductor and Music Director.
With the BRSO, Lionel explores a program of dance-influenced music that begins with Webern’s Passacaglia and also includes Schmitt’s La tragédie de Salomé and Ravel’s Bolero. At the center of the concert sits Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3, with soloist Igor Levit. Further performances take place May 15 and 16.
