This week, Lionel Bringuier continues his Stateside performances with a return to the Cleveland Orchestra on April 16, 17, and 18. The conductor leads a program that features signature works from the core repertoire and familiar collaborations, including Saint-Saëns’s Cello Concerto No. 1 with Gautier Capuçon, Ravel’s Le tombeau de Couperin, and Schmitt’s La tragédie de Salomé. Lionel closes the program with Ravel’s rousing Boléro, a work that has been featured significantly in his 2014-15 season, including his inaugural weekend as the Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich.
Performances take place in the Orchestra’s home of Severance Hall. Click here for tickets.
