On November 6, Lionel Bringuier gives his first performance with London’s Philharmonia Orchestra. The French conductor, who has appeared at Royal Albert Hall and the Barbican Centre, now takes the podium of Royal Festival Hall next week for works by Debussy, Prokofiev, and Bartók.
The evening’s program begins with Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, followed by Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with Simon Trpceski at the keyboard. The second half spotlights Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra.
