Lionel Bringuier appears on DVD alongside leading Chopin interpreter Nelson Freire and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, recorded live at Bringuier’s BBC Proms debut in 2010.

The programme includes Chopin’s Concerto No. 2 in F minor op. 21 and Albert Roussel’s Symphony No. 2 in G Minor op. 42 as well as works by Berlioz, Gluck and Ravel.

The recording was selected by Norman Lebrecht as his DVD of the week, while Gramophone Magazine described the release as “a tremendous concert, one to return to with or without the pictures, and a souvenir of a stunning London debut by a conductor who is going to be around for a long time leading the world’s greatest orchestras”.
