Lionel Bringuier will be making his debut appearance with the Orquesta Nacional de España in a series of concerts at the Auditorio Nacional de Música on 22nd, 23rd and 24th February. He will collaborate again with pianist Yuja Wang, with whom he has performed many times, including with the Tonhalle Orchester Zurich and the LA Philharmonic. Their pairing received considerable critical praise from the LA Times, which opined of their 2011 concert: “I wish the supposedly suicidal Tchaikovsky could have been there. Maybe it would have made him feel he had more to live for.” Lionel and the Orquesta Nacional de España with Yuja Wang will be performing works by Ravel and Bartók, and also Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3.
