Lionel performs Elgar and Brahms with LA Phil and Yefim Bronfman

On Tuesday 31st July, Lionel will conduct the LA Philharmonic with Yefim Bronfman as the soloist. The programme will consist of Elgar’s Enigma Variations and Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The latter will feature Yefim Bronfman, the pianist whose performance inspired this description by Philip Roth: “like no less a force than Prometheus, our own lives now seem inextinguishable. Nobody is dying, nobody – not if Bronfman has anything to say about it.”
